That depends on what you mean by supported. Occasionally, patches are made
to earlier major versions, if e.g considerable security concerns arise.
Other than that, the goal is to add fixes and features in a way that's as
backwards compatible as possible, until the need arises to move to a new
incompatible version. Semantic versioning is used since 5.0.0.
